The Debut of Paige Addison 3.6.09

Paige Addison is Finally Here!! And boy what a completely different experience this delivery was than Kohan!!

I had Paige all natural ~ not one thing of pain medication in any form
But not by choice.
I went into the hospital Friday Morning at Midnight. By the time I was checked in and ready to go they started me one the gel stuff at 3 in the morning. That had contractions going like crazy, but they were tolerable.
By 6'oclock in the morning they started my Fluids and the Oxytocin drip. At this point I was ready for some kind of pain meds.
Shift Change with the nurses also happened to start at this time + and an extremely busy OB Dept = no nurses to be found anywhere.
By 6:15am I was having contractions every 2 minutes and was now ready to give in and have an epidural, but not nurse to be found.

By 6:30am My water broke, and still no nurse with my contractions now coming what seemed like every 30 seconds. At this point I was done, Brandon was done. He went to get a nurse 4 times at the nurses station and no one was listening to him that my water broke.
FINALLY at 6:45am the head manager of the OB came in her street clothes and checked me. She said I was only a 4 and could have an epidural and they started to prep me. (Amazingly once the Manager was there I had my choice of nurse there was so many in there.)

Well, Miss Paige was in an extreme hurry and as soon as I sat up to get ready for the epidural I had a contraction and dialated to a 10 and had to push. It was total panic in my room, the OB Manager was screaming for a Dr. and nurses to get the baby cart ready, I am in total pain crying for some kind of pain relief, and being told not to push. (Why do the tell you that? Seriously.)

So Thank goodness at 7am Dr. Walters walked into the OB department to start his daily shift and delivered Paige at 7:03am in the morning. No pain meds through contractions, delivery, or an episiotomy. I strongly do not recommend!! But when I looked over at my beautiful baby girl, it was all worth it.
She was 7lbs 10oz. and 20.5 inches long. The same exact size as her brother. And just as cute.

Here are some pictures of the days journey:

Today is the Day...

We have reached the finish line people!! Wooo Hooo!!
Paige Addison is going to make her debut hopefully by this time tomorrow morning.
I am scheduled to go to the hospital tonight at Midnight.
If all goes to plan her Birthday will be
3.6.09.

Though 3.7.09 would not be a bad birthday either -
that is miss Megan Bowles birthday and that would be a very special day to have her as well.
Either way she is going to be a Pisces. Brandon and I going to have one spirited Daughter!

I will surely be posting pictures soon!!

Pregnancy Blues

I am so close.

The finish line is within view, and yet it is so far away...

I am HUGE Pregnant at this point. And I am done.

I really enjoyed this pregnancy, more than the last, and was happy, did not complain, kept a positive attitude about the weight gain, back aches, swollen feet and hands, losing my breath everytime I rolled over in bed... and now I am done.

This baby is well cooked at this point and can come out at anytime and I would be more than happy about that. I had my doctor talked into delivering this weekend, but he pushed it back to March 9th last time I was there.

I see him tomorrow and we are going to talk.

Hopefully we can reach a compromise and get her out March 6th (Friday rather than the following Monday). Three days to a 9 month pregnant person is an eternity.

I am pulling out the big guns on this one, water works and all in his office. Wish me luck,

No one likes to see a VERY PREGNANT person cry. Hopefully.

On another note...My poor Dixie dog had to have surgery yesturday. She had three bladder stones the size of Sugar cubes removed. To a 17lb schnauzer, that freaking huge! I felt so bad for her. So I guess, someone was having a worse time than me. She is doing good, and getting very spoiled, something to keep my mind off of feeling like I am doubling in size everyday...

Happy Valentines Day Early

I don't know what that magical number of age is when you stop worrying about Valentines day and how to have a romantic run at it. I am So not in the mood this year for Valentines day. Being 8 months pregnant, swollen, fat, and tired all the time will do that to you. Brandon bought himself boots that he needed for work and said to call it good on the whole gift thing for him. (Mind you the boots where $200.00). Meanwhile I have been wanting to do all kinds of crafts lately and really wanted a sewing machine. So with the magic of craigslist : I got a Kenmore sewing Machine yesterday for the fraction of the cost , love Brandon.
I am 24years old and I am completely content that for the "most romantic day of the year" instead of a romantic date, flowers, whatever, I got a sewing machine. I laughed really hard at this! So Happy Valentines to Me and Brandon, yes its really early but you can't pass up on good deals. So on Febuary 14th hopefully by then I will have figured out just how to use my new sewing machine and will get to sew all day! And maybe, just maybe, get a foot massage out of Brandon. Or treat myself to a pedicure since the belly is now getting WAY in the way of me being able to do it myself.

33 Weeks and counting....

I think that I am hitting my “nesting” period as everyone refers to it. I want to organize and clean EVERYTHING in my house already. It is driving my nuts that I don’t have a “nursery” painted and a crib set up for this little girl yet. Ashley came over and helped feed the craving a little; we went shopping for baby shower decorations, and made a diaper cake for a centerpiece. I got out Kohan’s old car seat and did a deep cleaning on it. I put on the car seat cover I ordered for it, and it looks super cute and girly now! I even gave myself a pedicure this weekend, even though if I look down I can not see my toes. It took creative bending to accomplish that! I am ready to meet this little girl in my tummy who insists on doing acrobatic stunts at 10’oclock every night for about an hour, and who has me craving yogurt and granola, or any kind of carb imaginable.

Cute question of the weekend by Kohan: “Who are we buying baby Paige From?”
I am sure he thinks Paige will come from ToysRus- everything that Kohan wants he tells us : its at ToysRus in the Boys section. Even new moms, who aren’t the boss.
